Did I tell you I have found a wonderful source for roving and yarn? only 20 minutes away? and she gives spinning LESSONS!… YAYYYY Oh, I didn’t? It’s a little shop inside one of the lovely antique shops just off the Old Town Square in McKinney, Tx. Since I seem to be having some difficulty with my drafting, I decided to call the antique shop and find out if the lady who owns the shop (it’s called Yarn Again) spins. Well.. the answer I got was… “She does everything from sheep to shawl… and gives lessons!” Now ask me if heart went into a flutter… This photo is looking down over the antique shop from her central mezzanine shop door. I called her and found that her name is Linda…(amazing!…lol) She is a spinner and weaver. Most of her work is done at her studio at home, but she is usually in the shop on Saturdays and if I bring my Kromski she will be happy to give me lessons right there in the shop… Then she told about her new web site called Yarn Again.net.
So, guess where I’ll be the Saturday after next!!!
P.S. She also gives weaving lessons!
