In my quest for learning to naalbind, I have looked all around here and cannot seem to come up with real wool yarn.. single ply, double ply or triple ply… not any.  So a while My lovely Bossie!back I decided the only way to have any to work with was to make my own.. sooo…( with a little help from DH) I put together the toy wheel spindle.  As I became more experienced with it, I decided I needed a good spindle… ta daaaa… my Bosworth!  As I became better with it,  I decided to try my hand with a spinning wheel… sooo … ta daaaa… my Kromski Prelude…

I have been working almost every day for at least an hour (and sometimes 4 or 5 hours) or so trying to get the hang of the quicker drafting needed so I won’t have the curli-cues… so far I continue to have them…just not as many.  I find myself getting anxious and nervous as I continue, so I am sure that either I am not sitting properly or not drafting properly.  I will continue to work on that.

As for the naalbinding, thus far I have not been able to get just the right size yarn that I would like to use for naalbinding.  But.. I have not given up hope…. :o )  With this going on and everyday things happening… well… that’s what’s been going on!
